She is a grandmother, teacher, author, gardener, herbalist, and homesteader. She is the author of The Dehydrator Cookbook for Beginners (2022, Rockridge Press), The Beeswax Workshop (2017, Ulysses Press), and Homegrown Healing from Seed to Apothecary (2016, Joybilee Media) Chris believes in giving her readers a quick win, because each quick win builds confidence and empowers self-reliance.
Chris and her husband live in the mountains of British Columbia with their two dogs and a cat.

"I am new to herbal medicine and I am studying under Heidi Villegas. Before this summit I had a couple tinctures started and I planted 3 herbs in my garden this summer. After Tuesday’s classes I planned the rest of my herb garden to plant in the spring, and after Carolyn’s class yesterday I started 2 more tinctures to prepare myself for cold and flu season with plans to make a couple more items. What an amazing summit and I can’t wait for next year’s!"
